It's a bit too late to wish you all a Happy New Year 2012 but I would like to share with you a little event, very special to me.
When I was at the Comicket in December 2011, I succeeded to get my hands on these doujinshi (and another one from Shirow Miwa but I may post the pictures in another update) while I didn't have high hopes...
For those who can remember, does the name "Akihito Tsukushi" ring a bell ?! To me, it means a lot since he is the one who got me interested in details (and he is in my favorite artists list)... At that time, his drawings were blowing my mind litteraly and I found his works fresh and warming. He even wrote in my guestbook when my old website was still up in 2002... I was (and I'm still) a complete fan of his drawings so seeing his doujinshi at the Comicket let me feel nostalgic.
I have bought Tsukushi's newest story "From Star Strings" and I'm still in love with his art style. The story is touching despite being in japanese and you can understand nearly everything without knowing the language (though I have a friend who can translate it). Plus the main character is so cute !!
I also have a little book which is a compilation of roughs and CGs arts :
I can assume that without him, I may be not able to achieve what I'm today. The best part is I actually met him (to be a foreigner can be a good thing sometimes) !! We couldn't talk for long because he couldn't talk properly in english, but from what I can expect from this first contact is he is a really nice person !!! He also left some doodle on my copy (unvaluable to me).
Thus, these doujinshi are like treasures to me, a part of a memory I don't want to forget, just to remind me where I come from.
Akihito Tsukushi, thank you for everything !!
This said, I also want to thank 2 friends of mine who took part in this memorable trip in Japan !!
Now that I think of it, I recently took part in an interview for a digital magazine. I usually don't like this osrt of thing but I have to admit the questions were very interesting, way more than usual... Even if I don't know if I was the right person to do this. If you want to read how it has ended up as a result, you can check this link :

Well, I guess this is all for now. Sorry for not feeding my journal often but I'm not used to put down my daily life in a journal... Living it is enough already. Otherwise, I'm working for another publisher on a new title... But just some professional work I would said, nothing like BB Project or Outlaw Players (a reboot still in the process though).
See ya all.
